Hint of deco, pinch of 50s diner and a sprinkle of 80s pastel... I recently made this invite for Lily Vanilli's upcoming pop-up venture '180 at 98' promising an evening of cakes and cocktails. Reminds me of the the speakeasy style sundays when Swanfield first popped...

...soon with the release of her first recipe book 'A Zombie Ate my Cupcake'. For the month of February, Lily Vanilli was affectionately dubbed my boss whilst I worked on the graphic design & layout of her book along with illustrator Paul Parker. A first for me, & for lady lily too, this recipe book has an amazing selection of her hand crafted art edibles & whacky baked inventions... some dark & a little disturbing, but with just the right mix of unsavoury gore & sweetness.


Some creations are beautiful to look at with bleeding hearts moulded out of fondant, raspberry innards spilling out like blood, & handpainted metallic crabs wanting to climb out of their cupcake shells & into your mouth.


"A.Z.A.M.C" makes you want to play with your food.

If not brave to invite the zombie to your kitchen, it's definitely one for the coffee table so get your orders in while they are hot... X
